Clearly, the exit negotiations should be accompanied by contents for a new post-Brexit
agreement between the EU and UK as Article 50 stipulates that the negotiation and conclusion of an agreement should ‘take account of the framework for its future relationship with the Union.’ Since any time lapse between the two agreements, one for withdrawal and the other for arranging future relations with the EU, will exacerbate the level of uncertainty, it is plausible that the two agreements be con- cluded simultaneously.1
