same host, R. javanica (Kim 1980; Kusunoki et al. 1997).
Note that CWB possessed a secY gene whose sequence
showed high homology with that of HP; however, groEL
and amp gene sequences of CWB have not been deposited
in the database. Further research is needed to elucidate the
exact relationship between HP and CWB. Taken together,
these data indicate that strains HP, SWB and RhY diverged
from each other very recently, although the host of HP
differs from that of the other two strains.
