Friendly Texan looking to make new friends across the globe. I love learning about different cultures and getting to know people beyond the initial "hi, how are you?" introduction. I have a dry, sometimes sarcastic sense of humor and often go off on random tangents. If you like talking about history or international politics, want to improve your English, or wonder about life in the USA, then I'm your man :) If you have a good sense of humor and an open-minded curiosity about the world, feel free to say hello!
I have a bachelor's degree in History and am now working on a master's degree in Marketing. However, now I'm thinking about a Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) and a Masters in Divinity (M.Div).
Lately I'm more interested in exploring religion and how it can be a force for good. I also want to help people who might need someone to listen without judgment. Along the way I want to write about it all and maybe do cool video stuff.
I've met some amazing friends in person from Interpals when I lived in NYC, and my goal is to find the time and money to visit friends in their own country. Maybe crowdfunding is a way to make that happen!
Last, but not least, I sometimes have strong opinions about things and might hypothetically take sides in certain ongoing conflicts (you know the one to which I refer). But I love my friends and peoples of both countries and hope the feeling is mutual :-)
