The results on the analysis of physico-chemical
properties such as pH (7.6); EC (349.73ms/cm); N (2.60%);P (0.95%); K (0.68%) and OC (26.65%)) showed the
nutritive potential of vermicompost. Many field studies
have demonstrated that there is a decrease in soil bulk
density and increase in porosity resulting from various
vermicompost applications as soil amendment resulted
in many positive effects on soil physical characteristics.
When vermicompost added to the media increase in bulk
density, water holding capacity and reduction in total
porosity was observed (Marinari et al., 2000).
