A lavish sedam stopped in front of Scarlet Chambers and Sun Ho came out, being assisted by the faithful servant. Sun Ho halted in his step and started to admire the rows of Cherry trees in the garden. Now, they are covered in yellow, withering leaves but Sun Ho could imagine the spectular view of Cherry blossom during Spring. His garden would be in a sea of the lively pink and white Cherry blossoms.
"Prince Sun Ho, this chamber that the Emperor bestowed to you is really grand and magnificent. The view here in Spring will be on par or even surpass that in the Imperial Shrine." The servant chirped happily.
"I wish that I am still at the Imperial Shrine." Sun Ho replied with a slight tinge of gloom. Sun Ho knew that he would not be able to go back to his simple life as before.
"But Prince Sun Ho.." the servant knew what was on the Prince's mind as she had served him for years. Prince Sun Ho was such a charming and kind person and it would be a waste of his talent if he remained at the Imperial Shrine. The servant felt that the Prince could accomplish greater here given his ability and who knows, he could seek his marriage here. Therefore, Sun Ho would not longed to return to the Imperial Shrine and no one would regard him as a semi-demon. The servant pondered what was wrong in this place that the Prince seemed to dislike.
"Its alright, you may go in first. I am going to cast an even stronger barrier here." Sun Ho chanted and pumped his fist on the ground. He marked this as the centre of the compound. 4 bright red lights shone through the ground and shot towards the 4 directions before converging on the top of Scarlet chamber. Sun Ho casted another spell and pumped his fist on the ground, slighly away from the first. This time 4 bright golden lights shone through the ground and 4 heavenly creatures appeared: Dragon, Tiger, Phoenix and Genbu (Giant turtle) and vanished in 4 different directions.
"Prince Sun Ho, why did you cast such a strong barrier?" the servant was taken aback on the sight. She had rarely seen the Prince casting the barrier twice and she wondered if the evil presence here was way so strong for him to do so.
"This is to test him." Sun Ho whispered softly and looked in a far away direction. General Shinhwa was weird or rather very unique. Sun Ho was confident of the barrier that he casted as no demon, spirits or other forms could break through; no matter how strong they were. However, that person could do so effortlessly. He did not break the barrier at all but simply barge his way through, unharmed and the barrier intact. He did not feel any discomfort after gaining access via the barrier. The most disturbing matter was that Sun Ho did not sense anything when he entered the barrier. Furthermore, he easily destroyed the protector god that he summoned at the Imperial Hall and did not bat an eyelid at all, pretending nothing had happened.
Sun Ho had never met with such complex task and believed that he would face some difficulties in subduing him. Since he would be coming here later, Sun Ho decided to set up the barriers to guage him. Thereafter, Sun Ho will act accordingly.
"Prince Sun Ho, who are you trying to test?" the servant looked confused.
"Someone that I can't see through or read his mind." Sun Ho let out a heavy sigh. Sun Ho could not see anything about him, not his past, not his true form, not his mind. All Sun Ho could see was a bottomless pit of darkness in his eyes. That pair of eyes could easily drawn his soul into the darkness if not for Sun Ho's power and years of trainings.
"Someone that can't see through?" the servant repeated.
"Let's go inside." Sun Ho flashed a smile at his servant and took his leave. At the entrance, a group of male and female attendance and guards awaited Sun Ho's arrival and they appeared nervous. Barely a few steps, Sun Ho turned to his servant and motioned her to enter inside. Sun Ho had something to do first. The servant obeyed with no questions asked as she had been serving the Prince for years. The servant led the entourage of people away.
After seeing everyone had left, Sun Ho took out some paper cutting of figuries from the sleeves of his white robe. Sun Ho lifted his right index finger to his lip and bit it. He dabbed a drop of blood on each of the paper figuries before throwing them into the skies while chanting another prayer. The figuries transformed into 4 deities and stood guard at the 4 corners of the barriers in the skies. Sun Ho collapsed on the ground and a trail of blood was seen in the corner of his lips. It was taxing for Sun Ho to summon the 4 deities which exhausted Sun Ho's energy but he had no choice if he was to face that person. Or perhaps, to summon the divine beings was against the rules as Sun Ho believed that his blood was impure. whenever, he summoned the deities, he could felt his heart being wrenched and his soul being tormented. Hence, he never did this unless necessary.
Sun Ho wiped his lips and saw that his blood was black. He smiled sadly that this was the sign of him being a semi-demon and yet naively, he still regards himself as a human being. Sun Ho's teacher at the Imperial Shrine had lectured him many times on this for Sun Ho was alway minding that he was a semi-demon. Sun Ho was aware that he possessed great power which could help the people but that was because he was still having human's sense. What if he plunged into the Dark side? What would happen? Would he lose his sanity as a human and remember ever being a human? Would Sun Ho turned into a true demon and commit mass massacre on his people?
Sun Ho had been to war zone and how the vast valley became the mass burial ground. Corpses, bloods everywhere and it was a gruesome sight. If Sun Ho committed mass masscre, it would be hundreds time far worse than the war zone; it would Hell on earth. Despite doing prayer and ritual at the Imperial Shrine, Sun Ho felt that the demon inside him was luring him to enjoy the taste of blood. Sun Ho suddered when he drifted in his thought when dreaming that he was immersed in an ocean of blood and clearly enjoying that moment. He dreamt of himself away at the blood stained hands and smirked evily. Sun Ho quickly regained his sense and stood up. He felt a cold shiver on his spine, fearing that the demon inside would burst out of his body. Sun Ho shook his head violently and decided not to think anymore.
Since that person was not a human being, Sun Ho would galdly subdue him, even without the Emperor's order. Even if Sun Ho was truely a demon, he would devour all other demons. Maybe this was the reason that he was born.
