Blight of Pyricularia oryzae Cav rice caused significant destruction and disease of rice in most of the areas cultivated rice varieties. This study was done to find alternative measures to control the disease by using a leaf extract of Piper caninum Blume antifungal activity against P. P. caninum oryzae. Working under stress by using food, potato dextrose agar (PDA), this study showed that extracts of P. coarse caninum show very strong inhibition against P.oryzae with inhibitory features 44 mm diameter low concentrations (MIC) of this extract is 0.5% (w/v) treatment with sat.Taste a bite from the leaves of P. caninum significantly (P < 0.05) inhibited growth of the fungal spore formation and radius of biomass. Inhibition of growth as a result of this extract caused degradation of fungal cells indicated by the size of the fiber which zize fibers treated with the extract is obviously smaller than that of the control. It is necessary to purify and identify the substance in the extract from the leaves of P. caninum responsible for most antifungal activity against the P.oryzae in addition, applications need to be made to assess the performance of an extract from the leaves of P. rice blight control caninum under field conditions.
