with 34 statements about the ten constructs. These statements were
adopted from the prior relevant literature and modified for suitability
to the WBT context (see Appendix A). Each statement was measured
on a seven-point Likert scale, with 1 being“strongly disagree”and 7
being“strongly agree.” Participants for this study were employees
of three construction companies in Korea who had enrolled in webbased training programs offered by their company in the year
2009–2010. These companies have adopted web-based training to
train their employees in a number of subjects of relevance to construction. The data were collected by holding meetings of groups of
employees at each construction project undertaken by the company
and asking them to complete the questionnaire. A total of 423 employees of those three construction companies, drawn from twentyfive different construction projects, completed and returned the
questionnaire. Fifteen of the questionnaires were incomplete and
were not used. The 408 completed questionnaires were analyzed. Demographic data for the respondents are presented inTable 1. Most of
the respondents were male, making up 99.0% of the sample. About
91.0% had a bachelor's degree, and 7.8% had a graduate degree. In
terms of age, 13.0% of the respondents were 30 or under, 53.7%
were in the age group 31–40, 31.9% were in the age group 41–50,
and 1.5% were over 50. With regard to job titles, 17.6% of the respondents were staff, 36.0% were assistant managers, 22.5% were managers, 19.9% were deputy general managers, and 3.9% were general
managers. The average tenure of the respondents with their current
employer was 9.5 years (Std. Dev. =6.1 years). These demographics
