the adverse effects they produce have been a subject of concern. Several complications such as pulp irritation, tooth structure alterations, microleakage of restorations, and reduced bond strength of composite resin to tooth structure might arise. Some studies have also reported changes in enamel, including increased porosity and an over-etched appearance along with the loss of prismatic enamel structure, calcium loss, reduced micro hardness, and changes in the organic component of enamel.3,4 One of the important complications seen is a reduction in bond strength of composite resin to bleached enamel when bonding is performed immediately after the bleaching process.
