Therefore, the aim of the present study
was to investigate the oxidative behavior of nitazoxanide at
the carbon paste electrode (CPE) using cyclic and differential-
pulse (DP) voltammetric techniques, and to optimize
the experimental conditions for the determination of this
compound in bulk and pharmaceutical dosage forms. The
results were compared with those from a spectrophotometric
method. Based on the adsorption behavior of
tizoxanide onto the CPE electrode surface, a DP anodic
stripping voltammetric method was developed for the
determination of tizoxanide, a metabolite of nitazoxanide,
in spiked human serum.
