Cultures were grown in the following culture
medium: NaNO3 2 g l1; KH2PO4 1 g l1; KCl
0.5 g l1; MgSO4·7H2O 0.5 g l1; CaCl2·6H2O
8 mg l1; ZnSO4·7H2O 1 mg l1; FeSO4·7H2O
10 mg l1; yeast extract 1 g l1; peptone 2 g
l1; pH 6.0. Erlenmeyer flasks (500 ml), containing
100 ml of this medium were inoculated
with 5 ml of the above mycelial homogenate
and incubated under agitation (150 rpm, 5 cm
diameter stroke) at 25°C until harvest. Unless
stated otherwise, 5% (w:w) of oil from different
sources were added at the time of inoculation.
In some cases, glucose (30 g l1) was added
instead of oil at the time of inoculation.
