In conclusion,this RCT demonstrates empirical promise for feasibility and initial efficacy of MBRP as an aftercare treatment for substance use disorder,and provides preliminary support for the theoretical framework behind mindfulness meditation as a therapy for addictive behaviors.In the tradition of well-established MBSR and MBCT programs,MBRP extends the populations for which mindfulness meditation therapies can be used to alleviate distress and foster fundamental change in maladaptive patterns behavior
