At th e end of the day, Pizza saw Fletche r walking out ofthe
school gates. He d idn't loo k very happy.
"Fletcher! Wait!"
But he carried on walking.
"Fletcher! I'll come over to th e stables later, should 11" she
said as she ran along beside him.
"If you want, but don't you have a date with your
boyfriend ?" he said.
Suddenly Fizza realized th at Fletche r was jealous.
"No, I don't and he's not my boyfr iend!" she replied jus t as
Billy Adams walked past them.
"Hi, Pizza," Billy said, making sure he had h is back to
Fletcher. "What are you doing later?"
"It doesn't matter:' interrupted Fletcher.
"1 was n't ta lking to you, co untry boy!" Billy replied.
This was too much for Fletcher, who jumped on top of
Billy and began to h it h im as hard as he co uld . In retu rn , Billy
kicked him and before Fizza knew what was happening, the
two boys were in a terrible fight.
"Stop it!"she said. "Please!"
However, th ey co ntinued to fight, so she took Billy's
left arm, held it behi nd his hack and pulled him away from
Fletcher. 1hen she gave Fletcher one of her best kicks and
knocked him to the ground.
"Ow!" sa id Billy.
"Oomph!" sc reamed Fletcher.
"I said 'Stop it!' '' said Fizza as she walked away.
Why co uld n't sh e like two boys at once? Surely she d id n't
have to choose? For months, years even, nothing had ever
happened to Pizza Mci ntyre. Now everyth ing was happen ing
at once and she wasn't sure if she liked it.
