Sorry but there are a lot of mistakes here. 90 minutes is too long for most steaks, a 2 cm thick steak will take no longer than 60 minutes. The texture will deteriorate if cooked too long. 138 °F is too hot for beef, 127 °F will yield much better texture. Salt compromises the texture if applied before the bath. After the bath, the meat should rest for 5-10 minutes before searing. The device takes 1'100 W, which is not a lot, so the fuse blew because your electrical installation is mediocre. This problem is completely unrelated to the device. In my personal opinion, the cost of a device should not be subject of a review. Whether something is expensive or cheap is a subjective issue that is entirely unrelated to the device. If I buy the device, it is completely irrelevant whether you personally consider USD 500 a large or small amount of money. Thanks for your consideration.
