2. Technical Function requirement
2.1. Optical OADM
2.1.1. The offered device family shall include Optical Add/Drop Multplexers (Optical ADM).
2.1.2. The offered device should provide an intermediate cascade interface for cascading to other optical add/drop multiplexer (OADM) units, so that the system can add/drop more wavelengths without service interrupt.
2.1.3. The Optical ADM shall be able to add and drop minimum 2 channels.
2.1.4. The Bidder shall give the list and description of available Optical ADMs.
2.2. Optical Transponders
2.2.1. Gigabit Ethernet
The transponders shall provide the transmission of 1GE.
The transponders shall provide the mapping 1GE into ODU0 and other ways.
Bidder shall describe how a single 1GE is mapped into the line signal of transponder.
2.2.2. 10 Gigabit Ethernet
The transponders shall provide the transmission of 10GE.
Bidder shall describe how a 10GE signal is mapped into the line signal of transponder.
The transponders shall provide the transmission of 10GE LAN PHY signal by adding FEC or AFEC.
2.2.3. STM-1/4/16/64
The transponders shall provide the transmission of STM-1, STM-4 and STM-16.
The transponders shall provide the transmission of STM-64.
2.2.4. Video signal transmission
The transponders shall provide the transparent transmission of the following signals:
o DVB-ASI (Digital Video Broadcasting -Asynchronous Serial Interface): Digital TV services, the rate is 270 Mbit/s.
o SDI (Digital Video Broadcasting - Serial Digital Interface): Digital TV services, the rate is 270 Mbit/s.
o HD-SDI: High-definition digital TV services, the rate is 1.485 Gbit/s.
2.2.5. Fibre channel (FC) 1G, 2G
The transponders shall provide the transparent transmission of SAN FC signals.
Bidder shall provide information on how the FC signal is mapped and transported.
2.2.6. OTU-1 (2.67Gbit/s) and OTU-2 (10.71Gbit/s) OTN
The transponders shall provide the transparent transmission of ODU-1 or ODU-2
Protocol-independent Optical Interfaces
The transponders shall provide the transparent transmission of Protocol-independent digital optical signals. The supported bitrate shall be from 100 Mbit/s to 2.67 Gbit/s.
Bidder shall provide information on how the Protocol-independent digital optical signal is mapped and transported.
