Caring for Animals
Modern humans have dominated the planet since we began to evolve some 200,000 years ago. Being the dominant species on the planet, it is our job to make sure we take care of the other animals on Earth. Polar bears, for example, live on the ice in the Arctic. An increase in temperature in the Arctic due to climate change has threatened the very existence of polar bears in the wild, as their environment becomes smaller and less habitable. This is happening to many different species of animals all over the world as man-made climate change threatens them with extinction.
