Internal Traffic Control Meeting with JV 19 July 2014
Statement: Every construction area will require warning signs and/or traffic control.
This must be planned and notified to all relevant parties.
1.Planning
a.Based on the 2 week look ahead a 1 week traffic control plan shall be made.
b.Agree typical layouts with DOH Consultant for all potential situations.
c.Revise traffic control drawings for specific locations as per point ‘b’ above.
d.Internal meeting every Friday morning to finalise the plan for next week.
e.Issue notification letters with attached location list and detailed drawings to DOH, SDAO, Police and Community Leader.
f.This will start from 25th July 2014.
2.Materials
a.Locations requiring signs at peak construction:
12 X HDD sites
7 X BV Stations
6 X Bore crew locations
13 X welding crews
b.In stock there are 15 sets; see above and discuss the extra requirements and order the materials.
c.All the signs require modification for easy installation. A workshop and workers to be organized as soon as possible.
d.Material list to be issued for modifications for 1 set of signs. Multiply this against the agreed total of how many sets are required for the project.
e.One emergency set of signs to be available in a vehicle on site.
f.Concrete barriers will be required for both sides of every bored crossing location.
3.Equipment
Mobilise Hiab Trucks immediately. Concrete barriers are required for Bore 19 & 23.
4.Parking
It is inevitable that vehicles will temporarily park on the road shoulder for a site visit. To avoid complaints and daily reports of this JV should discuss with DOH Consultant and agree the requirements for doing this. Comments from DOH Consultant will be advised.
