There are serious managerial and ethical issues at SGGT and I will point few:
• SGGT employee turnover is 30% (comparing to 15% at similar industry). Most of the good people move on.
• Thai Gypsum reputation at the employment market (some head hunter and recruitment companies) is terrible.
• HR Director disclose confidential feedback to feedback subjects. On 2 occasions, the HR Director personally disclosed confidential feedback I gave when asked about colleagues. In both cases, it was clearly stated that the feedback I gave would be kept confidential.
o The first case was when I was being considered for promotion to Export Area Manager-Indochina. The HR director approached my previous boss and shared with him the confidential feedback given by me before asking his feedback about me.
o On the second occasion I was informed that the export organization was going to be changed and was told who was going to be my new boss. I was asked for my opinion about her and I could work with her. Approximately 1 month later, during a 1 on 1 meeting with my new boss, she told me that she knew all about my feelings to work with her from the HR Director.
• After HR Director joined, all HR team resigned one by one.
The unsaid reason as mentioned by ex-HR staff: Thai's normally do not respect managers that graduate from low level universities. (Feel free to check HR Director university ranking in Google) It is a cultural issues that taken into consideration in recruitment process by our competitors. (SCG Job posting required top university)
• HR Director - disclose Excom level salary detail to someone who was not on the Excom by email by mistake
• HR Director - doubled paid whole company salary by mistake.
• Business Development Manager-Export, Ms. Pinnara devalued my position by keeping me out of the loop and recently change the organization chart without any formal notice regarding my new status.
• Business Development Manager-Export, Ms. Pinnara grabbed my personal phone against my will and refused to returned it. Incident in which I got physically hurt.
• Running an unfair PDR. - I can only assume that there is an agenda behind this PDR.
I would like to share my PDR review ran by Mr. Mark Rapley on 30.01.2015
Thanks to Mark I have learned new things about myself, such as:
My Performance in ALL CATEGORIES - BELOW REQUIREMENTS (Despite the fact the total sales Volume of clients under my direct responsibility Increased in 2014)
