Regarding the AA samples, Figs. 6, 7, only sampleswith 4wt.% and
8wt.% of activator were studied. The total weight loss increased during
hydration in all samples. In addition, higher concentration of activator
resulted in higher total weight loss in both cases. On the other hand,
for an equivalent concentration of Na2O in NC and NH, the overall
weight losses were always higher in NH activated samples. This is
contradicting the XRD results which indicated, based on the level of
amorphisation, that the hydration wasmore pronounced in NC activated
samples. However, the possible causes of higher amorphisation of NC
activated samples have been discussed already in the previous section
