Hi Khun Luk,
I appreciate you sharing your thoughts with me, but I have to reinforce with all of you that the revenue number I gave you is my best guess at my full year revenues as of now. You all know by now that my revenue stream is unpredictable – I sell consulting services which are expensive but to some extent unpredictable.
There is no guarantee that any business will have revenues higher each year. In fact, given the political troubles in Thailand starting in November last year, I know many businesses which had lower revenues in 2013 than in 2012, and will have lower revenues again in 2014 than in 2013. Most businesses suffered the same pattern in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 due to political or weather interruptions. You were all around during this period so you will remember and understand these points well. The Revenue Department is also aware of this history.
It seems very unfair to me that we are not prepared to explain this to the nice people at the Revenue Department. Please help me by understanding my business. And please help me by explaining my business to them, rather than simply repeating to me what they say to you. Since I am paying you, you work for me, not for the Revenue Department. If you are being paid by the Revenue Department to work for them, then please let me know. If you are more concerned about Tsedeq’s relationship with the Revenue Department than with your customers, again, please let me know.
Please let’s go with your scenario 2. Shall I write the cheque for THB 12,116.18 now and send it to you, or can we pay via bank transfer through Cash Connect?
Thank you.
