The process begins with the selective harvest of nauplii, taking advantage of the characteristic phototropism of these animals, for which the most active and without deformities, nauplii reach faster to the light source. The tank design and methodology of harvesting will avoid collecting eggshells, unhatched eggs and deformed nauplii.
Selected nauplii are placed at densities of 5,000 animals per liter of water into "wash tanks." Then rinsed with water treated by the method described above, making a replacement of 400% in 1 hour.
