In part, the brevity of the chapter is
achieved by consigning ratio schedules to a
different chapter on "Response Specification".
If the intent of the chapter is to provide an
account of the "classical" schedules, this leaves
us with the somewhat sparse presentation of
Fl and VI schedules-which is just what is
provided in section 7.1. It is brief, omits early
basic data, such as Wilson (1954), and does not
provide a sufficiently precise description of either
schedule to prepare the student to construct
an example of these schedules on his
own.
