The direct photocatalytic degradation of rhodamine B (RB) has been reported by thiocyanate
complex of iron and hydrogen peroxide. The rate determining parameters like, pH of the
medium, concentration of the complex and dye, amount of H2O2, and light intensity on the degradation
process were studied in detail. The rate of photocatalytic degradation of the dye was
observed spectrophotometrically and it follows pseudo-first-order kinetics.
