In India, approximately 69% of total energy generations have been made using fossil fuels, like coal, which have the highest CO2 emissions per kWh and also emits other pollutants at very high levels. However, still, coal and other fossil fuels are dominating in the energy production due to its easy availability and low cost, while at the same time challenging the philosophy of sustain- ability [18]. If major efforts are not made to lower the amount of CO2 emissions produced then the number of coal fueled energy stations will definitely increase, and hence, developing countries alone will produce more CO2 emissions than the entire OECD energy sector for the year 2030 [19,20].
