3.1. Petroleum sorption of rice husks thermally treated at different temperatures
The effects of heating temperature on the petroleum sorption capacity of the adsorbent materials were studied. Fig. 1 shows the relationship between heating temperature and the amount of heavy crude petroleum absorbed by thermally treated rice husk (TRH). One can see in Fig. 1 that the sorption capacity of TRH increased with increasing heating temperature from 300 to 700 °C and absorbed approximately
