The later stages of apoptosis involve changes in the nuclear
morphology of cells such as chromatin condensation and DNA fragmentation.
Here, we have used DAPI staining to analyze the nuclear
morphological changes associated with MLL induced apoptosis.
DAPI can bind to the minor groove of the adenine–thymine regions
of DNA and emit light at 488 nm, observed as blue fluorescence.
The results clearly indicated significant nuclear morphological
changes associated with apoptosis in the cell lines
