HPLC analysis of vitamin E (tocopherols and tocotrienols) was
accomplished using an Agilent Technologies 1200 with a fluorescence
detector, and a Nucleosil 100 C18 column (4.6mm 250 mm,
5 mm), according to a previously described protocol (Irakli et al.,
2011). The tocopherols and tocotrienols were separated using a
linear gradient elution system starting with methanol and ending
with a mixture of methanoleisopropanoleacetonitrile.
