On 9th January 2015, MSU-IRO marked the start of the 2 – week cultural immersion journeys of a cohort from the University of Free States, South Africa for the 2nd MSU-UFS Leadership for Change Program 2015.
Seven of UFS students and a staff worked together and engaged in different activities with MSU distinguished lecturers and students while having unique memorable experiences. The program included sessions on Leadership Dynamics, Environment Awareness, Social Justice and Politics, Races and Ethnicity in ASEAN Countries and Community Development and Involvement. On the community service side of the activities, the cohort was given a great unforgettable experience to be with the children with disabilities. Besides, the UFS students were given an opportunity to experience the simple life at MSU Farm.
This Leadership For Change Program is a joint project under the Mutual of Understanding between Mahasarakham University and University of Free States, South Africa. It aimed to promote the enhancement of leadership, diversity and citizenship skills and personal growth and development among students.
