Recent trends in the hospitality sector have witnessed increasing shifts towards offering wellness and holistic programs. Attention to dietary intake and nutritive quality of food, as well as, customized disease specific diet services, in hotels, restaurants, and catering companies, has not been showing the same level of importance. While in fact, consumers are demanding better nutritional services and diet customization, as they are growing more aware of their propensity towards chronic diseases, especially non communicable diseases like obesity, diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease and cancer.
