The objectives of the user testing were to gather user requirements, since the needs of the primary target users, elderly people, shaped the design of the MIM application. The user requirements study consisted of two main phases: (1) background interviews and (2) MIM task-based testing. Background interviews collected data related to the needs and expectations of elderly users. The task-based testing was designed to have them perform MIM tasks while being observed, which would provide deeper insights on what could be improved when designing a MIM application
