CONCLUSIONS
The experiment failed to demonstrate the
accuracy of spectrophotometry in determining
analyte concentration, and consequently, to
calculate for the equilibrium constant for the
reaction. The experimental result, Keq, ave = 499,
is far from the widely accepted literature value,
Keq, lit = 290. The percent error is 78%. The
experiment is relatively prone to experimental
errors, and demands a high level of sensitivity
while being conducted, especially during
solution preparation.
