Pech demonstrated variable verbal reasoning abilities. Her language development is
characterized by Expected expressive and receptive vocabulary, and Below Expected verbal abstract reasoning and problem solving. Pech’s general cognitive abilities also evidenced a great deal of variability. From a learning or processing point of view, Pech has a personal strength in learning rote information and storing them in long term memory for recall at a later time. In fact, she has been relying on this strength to learn and retain newly learned information. Yet, the rote information needs to be integrated and applied in new and different context to problem solve through inductive and deductive reasoning but this is another personal weakness for Pech so she finds it challenging to apply and generalize these rote facts in different tasks and formats.
