I would like improve my language skill for transfer to master’s degree or apply to International company
I wrote the other day asking about your country of origin (native country, country where you were born), your native (first) language, and other languages you speak, read, and write. I am happy to report that I have had several answers.
Are you a high school graduate? a college student? a college graduate? What is/was your major? What sort of career do you want to pursue?
I also want to know how many years of English you studied in your home countries, whether or not the teacher was a native of your country or someone whose first language was English.
I would like to know if you have studied English here--in Brookhaven, Richland, Northlake, or any of the other Dallas County Community Colleges, other Texas colleges, or American colleges in other states.
My class roll on e Connect lets me know if you have taken 0042 before and whether or not you are on scholastic probation.
Last semester I had a student whose record indicated that that student was indeed on scholastic probation, but the student insisted that that made no sense.
This semester I would like to know why a student of mine is on scholastic probation. Which courses, how many courses have you failed before? (These include speaking and listening, grammar and writing, skills enhancement, and reading.
I also want to know what level of speaking and listening and of grammar and writing, all of you took whether or not you failed. I want you to write down your spring schedule and be sure that you know the names of all your teachers--not just me.
I would like to know why a student failed 0042. One of you has already written me about that, but I want the others who have failed to write to tell me what caused you to have to repeat the course. What are your major problems in learning English?
