our equipment covered including the cranes, this is more important than the trailer operators as the crane systems are updated periodically and placing an operator in a machine for which he has not officially been trained on that particular operating system could lead to major issues.
Winai is worth talking to about this, he is available today and perhaps if you discuss with him he can try to get the training manual and procedures from the Liebherr guys when they commence the training later this month.
We then need to have someone in place to monitor the training of the guys and certain their skill levels, as we see from the attached the progression is linked directly to the aptitude of the individuals and not as to time served (at least from Yellow to Green). Matt will be tied up on site for the foreseeable future and won’t be in a position to do this and is also not qualified to ascertain an individuals technical progress. I’m also not convinced that JF or GP will run with the programme regularly enough as the former is involved in the retrofit and the latter is involved in CUEL and likely to leave to another project when complete.
I will therefore need to appoint someone who has the relevant experience and is competent enough to evaluate the personnel, not just for operating the trailers, for drivers any anyone operating our gear
