We have implemented the deformation algorithm on a 3.2GHz Pentium 4 workstation with 1GB memory.
For the deformation of Ginger man whose skeleton has eight lines (seeing Figure 1) , the system costs 3.6 ms with the rigid least square deformation and uses a grid of size 100×100. The solution time is mainly spent for solving the square root in the deformation function, but the transformations are still quite fast.
