Korea Science Academy of KAIST is a science magnet school, located in Busan, South Korea. It was founded in 1991 as Busan (Pusan) Science High School (BSA). In 2001, BSA was designated as a school for science gifted students in 2001 by the Ministry of Science and Technology. The name was changed from BSA to the Korea Science Academy (KSA) in 2005. In 2009 the school announced formal ties with the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology or KAIST. The name is now formally the Korea Science Academy of KAIST.
