Euthanasia should be allowed in Thailand only under medical conditions.
There should be boundaries for example:
- patient must suffer from a terminal illness which will result in death within six months
- patient must have an incurable disease
- patient suffers from a severe paralysis
However, due to the nature of the Thai society being primarily Buddhists, euthanasia would probably not be legalized (or at least at any time soon). Although this is the case, it would be a great start if the Thai society openly discussed the issue of euthanasia. This could perhaps further pressure the legislative to consider legalizing euthanasia.
