A country like Thailand has no legal commitment to reduce GHG. Yet, as mentioned before, it is in Thailand׳s long-term interests to do. Thus, a very good starting point would be Thailand׳s vibrant, yet energy hungry industrial sector. In this vein, [22] looks at incentivizing the greening of the industrial sector of Thailand. Some of the promoted actions include; continuous improvement and sustainable development in all types and all levels of industries of Thailand. The literature has proposed five levels of ‘greening’ of industries which would give various financial benefits to individual industries ranging from easy loans and investments and joint ventures with government organizations. This validates the necessity for such an in-depth research carried out and disseminated by this research study, since the industrial sector is of importance to the LCS and sustainability of Thailand.
