The constituent compounds of oregano and rosemary essential oils were analysed by GCeMS; the results are shown in Table 2. The major components of oregano essential oil were terpineol (E) beta (55.5 g/100 g), terpinen-4-ol (15.9 g/100 g) and thymol (12.9 g/100 g). The major components in rosemary essential oil were 35.70 g/100 g camphor, 26.20 g/100 g verbenone and 15.80 g/100 g
b-caryophyllene.
