Understanding the problems of patients with SCI and the
strategies being used by them in coping with these problems
will contribute to the development of the nursing body of
knowledge and the understanding of nurses and other
caregivers as well as the families, which finally leads to the
development of effective coping strategies and improves the
quality of care. The findings of this study provide a
framework for the patients who want to learn how to live
with SCI. More studies are needed for confirming the
effectiveness of these strategies in practice
