Linn Park RDA Group are always on the look out for enthusiastic, dedicated and passionate RDA volunteers.Volunteering for Riding the the Disabled Assosiation involves an application, a PVG membership (cost covered by the group) and RDA Greencard training.As a volunteer, you will be involved in the running of the sessions. Providing therapeutic and recreational horse riding to disabled groups and individuals of all ages and varying disabilities. Sidewalking - Walking beside the rider ensuring their safety and communicating the instructors instructions to increase the therapeutic value.Leading - You are responsible for the horse, and ensuring full participation in the session.Horse care groom - Part of a team caring for the RDA horses, from grooming and feeding to care of its stable and yard.At Linn Park RDA Group, safety is our number one concern. An individual who can follow guidelines, stick to instructions and an open mind will get on well at the sessions.Full training will be provided - expereince with horses is by no means compulsory. Expereince working with disabled would be an advantage although again, not complulsory.
