I am a lesbian and with that said, I have respect for the Muslim woman and her beliefs. Just bc we see her beliefs as crazy or weird or whatever you like, doesn't mean that you should belittle or put down her (or anyone else's for that matter) beliefs bc it's not what you agree to be right. I am sure there are Muslims that are more modern in today's society but I am positive that this Muslim family are strictly going by what their older more strictly traditions are in their lives as traditional Muslims. Not every religion or belief is going to have the same views on certain things. But it is respective to respect other people's beliefs no matter how right or wrong we may think it is. I think the Muslim woman genuinely loved and cared for the family she went to spend time with. I think it would be great to see how other people live that are very different than myself. You could learn so much about the different cultures and traditions each culture can offer. Why be so angry for someone who is only sticking with what they believe in just bc you think they are wrong? Not everyone is going to agree on everything. Just my opinion.
