It has been suggested that there are significant challenges to cooperative education partnerships through a lack of a shared understanding of the meaning and purpose along with different stakeholder expectations and motivations for participating in cooperative education (Beggs, Ross, & Knapp, 2006; Martin & Leberman, 2005; Patrick et al., 2008).
