You walk into a dim lite bar after a hard day at work, uninterested in anyone or anything in particular, just a drink to soothe the monotony. The dim lights make it perfect to avoid any real personal interaction. Yes, you could drink at home, but interacting with your family isn't as easy as simple interaction, people watching, eaves dropping or blazay. This stimulation is unique.
So you sit down and start listening and mindlessly glancing. The bar is brazen with people crying, people boasting, people mindlessly vomiting views and people ignorant to anything outside of the conversation at their table. You chuckle.
Just then a couple walks up to the bar next to you and orders a drink, receives it and dances off, leaving both of their wallets and phones behind. Without a thought you pick the items up and start flipping through their personal lives, School ID's, job information, family photos, pictures of loved ones, home addresses and contact lists. The bartender leans over, and instead of reprimanding you, gives you the "drama" on the couple. You glance at them and make a judgment without any real interaction or understanding. You smile with justification, and move on to the next person you deem interesting. Intrusive, but not blatantly.
the night wears on...
You get your fill of the insanity that continues on around you, feeling better about yourself, by these mindless simple interactions. You close your tab, and go home with a smile.
