Dear Thailand Team,
Firstly let me congratulate everyone on achieving zero incidents in November. We can create the incident-free culture in our organization by reinforcing the need to praise our colleagues in a changing safety culture, some examples in how to praise safety performance;
• Praise co-worker immediately when safe behavior is identified
• Be specific about what they did correctly or almost correctly
• Share your positive feeling
• Encourage them to keep up the safe work practice
• Immediately stop any work where an unsafe behavior or unsafe condition is observed
• Discuss with your colleague and determine what corrective actions need to take place
• Corrective actions should be verified once in place
Safety is something people practice at work and should do also in their personal lives. Essentially, every person is responsible for his or her own safety, as well as the people around you.
