The results showed the following: (1) health-promoting lifestyle is an important influencing factor of elderly depres- sion; (2) aging perceptions plays a mediating role in the relationship between health-promoting lifestyle and elderly depres- sion, accounting for 31.8% of the total utility; and (3) social support plays a moderating role between aging perceptions and elderly depression, with a high level of social support. The effect of aging perceptions on depression is less than that of the elderly with low social support level.
