Responsibility and work activities
• Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital.
• Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy by considering immediate and long term requirements of the Company and its subsidiaries.
• Recruiting staff by preparing job descriptions and job adverts; deciding on the appropriate recruitment strategy, and selection techniques i.e. the use of psychometric tests, interviewing, of shortlisted key candidates.
• Analyzing training needs in conjunction with line managers; planning and delivering training, including staff inductions.
• Advising on pay and other issues, including promotion and benefits; administer payroll and maintain staff records. • Listening to grievances and implementing disciplinary procedures.
• Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
• Interpreting and advising on employment legislation; develop and implement policies on a variety of workplace issues i.e. disciplinary procedures, absence management, working conditions, performance management and equal opportunities.
• Nurture a positive working environment.
• Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
• Maintain pay plan and benefits program
• Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics.
