P. syringae strains strongly inhibited spore germination of P.
digitatum after 24, 48 and 72 h of incubation both on PDB and on
OPEA broth (Table 2). On the contrary, T. atroviride P1 culture filtrate
showed a low efficacy at 24 and 48 h (41% and 24.8% of spore
germination inhibition) and was ineffective (0% inhibition) after
72 h. The enhanced and synergistic efficacy of some mixtures compared
to the efficacy of single applications was more evident on
OPEA broth.
