Last March 20, a passenger demanded me to lift her bag up to stow it at the over head bin. I do not have any problems with helping elderly, pregnant, or a child passenger with their luggages. But a fully fit and capable passenger who was able to bring that luggage up the stairs alone and demands you to put it in the overhead bin is a different story. As i'm still trying to be polite, and also to avoid other passengers being stuck at the aisle waiting for that bag to be stowed, I kindly asked the passenger to lift the bag with me. I politely lifted it with my left hand to help her. As we were lifting it together, the passenger released the luggage mid air, leaving my one hand alone carrying the bag. The baggage was more than 7kilos. My wrists snapped. I went to ER as soon as my flight duty was done. I was given pain medications, and underwent an XRAY procedure. As there was no signs of fracture, the ER doctor's diagnosis was just a soft muscle contusion and advised me to immobilized my wrists for a couple of days. Causing me 2 days off work. after resting for 2 days, I then went back to work for the next days but the pain won't go away... Today, upon visiting my ortho doctor, i discovered that my left wrist is suffering from TFCC or triangular fibrocartilage complex which means that my cartilage is raptured. I had to undergo an immediate Fluroscopically guided injections and might undergo physical therapy for a couple of weeks if it doesn't improve.
