Resting blood pressure was calculated by
averaging the blood pressure measurements
following at least 10 minutes seated rest by the
subject before each of the TC training monitored
by a staff member to ensure compliance
with the TC exercise. In addition, subjects’
blood pressures were taken every 15 minutes
during TC exercise to ensure the safety of the
subjects. The control group maintained their
usual lifestyle behaviors, including eating
habits and previous sedentary life pattern. Regular
follow-up through outpatient department
or by telephone interview were arranged every
4 weeks for the control group.
