You have been asked to give a presentation about your team's progress on a particular project to the leadership committee. The presentation was scheduled for one week from today; however, your manager just told you that the presentation has been rescheduled to tomorrow afternoon. Although you have done some of the research, you still need to prepare the materials for the presentation (e.g., handouts, presentation slides).
1. Tell your manager that you cannot give the presentation until later this week because you need time to prepare.
2. Ask your team members if they can meet first thing tomorrow morning to brainstorm how best to prepare for the presentation.
3. Ask your manager for help in preparing for the presentation because you do not think you can complete the preparation on your own before tomorrow afternoon.
4. Immediately work to prepare a high level presentation for the leadership team, but let your manager know that you will not be able to provide handouts or other materials.
5. Identify the different tasks required to prepare for the presentation, and request that your team members each take one part to help you prepare.
